salted peanut protein bars

Salted Peanut Protein Bars – vegan, high in protein & super simple

Many of you have been asking when WAM protein bars will finally be available – it’s still going to take a while! In the meantime, here’s a super simple recipe you can easily make at home: vegan, satisfying, and with around 17 g of protein per bar.

These homemade protein bars not only offer a delicious sweet and salty flavour, but also make the most out of your WAM Protein.

Ingredients (makes approx. 6 bars)

  • 2 ripe bananas (approx. 200 g)

  • 100 g WAM Protein – Pure Vanilla (other flavours work too)

  • 40 g peanut butter (we recommend crunchy)

  • 10 g ground flax seeds

  • 20 g almond flour

  • Topping: a handful of salted peanuts and dark chocolate for coating

How to make them:

  1. Mix all ingredients except the toppings in a bowl until you get a crumbly, slightly sticky dough.

  2. Press the mixture evenly into a tray lined with baking paper.

  3. Sprinkle over the salted peanuts and press them in gently.

  4. Chill in the fridge for at least one hour to allow the flax seeds to bind everything together.

  5. Cut into bars.

  6. Melt the chocolate and either drizzle it over the bars – or coat them completely.

  7. Store in the fridge and enjoy!

What makes this recipe special?

These peanut protein bars are:

  • High in plant-based protein (approx. 17 g per bar)

  • Vegan & free from added sugar

  • Ideal as a pre- or post-workout snack

  • Quick to make – no baking required

  • Free from artificial sweeteners like sucralose

Whether you're on the go, at the office, or need a smart snack before training – these bars provide you with high-quality protein while staying natural, delicious, and satisfying.

Tips & variations

  • Want a bit more crunch? Add chopped almonds, cacao nibs, or puffed quinoa.

  • Instead of chocolate, you can glaze the bars with a mix of nut butter and coconut oil (but be aware – it melts much faster!).

  • Prefer it a little sweeter? Add 1–2 teaspoons of agave syrup or date syrup to the dough.
